A midwestern boy at heart, I grew up in a small town in Northeastern Indiana & spent 18 formulative years there.
I have an Associate Degree from the Culinary Institute of America, New Haven, Connecticut. I feel very fortunate and honored to have been a member of the last graduating class of the school prior to their relocation to Hyde Park, New York and subsequent growth in size and international stature & acclaim.
After residing on the East Coast for approximately five years, the “Go West Young Man” adage crept in, and I found myself in San Diego with a burgeoning new career in the financial field. The next 35 years or so were spent in the mortgage banking & finance field with retirement occurring in 2008 from HSBC (a global banking consortium).
My long-term partner & husband (Gerry) and I moved to the Oaks North community in 2019 after finding our “forever home” (with NO stairs!) …. Unfortunately, Gerry passed away in November 2022 from kidney failure.
It is my hope that we continue the path of making Oaks North a viable and vibrant Over 55 community with something to offer to all our homeowners/residents.
Just a quick glance at the COURIER (our bi-monthly) community newsletter will show you the vast array of activities, clubs, social events, and meet-ups that are offered to you!
And, after all, it is YOU & the ONCC community that I am serving on behalf of.
