Board Director - Brian Hirsch, Member-at-Large

Originally from New York, my wife Ann and I moved to San Diego from Ohio several years ago and currently live in Marbella with our goldendoodle, Harley. We have one son, Stephen who is an electrician in Columbus, Ohio. During my career, I served as Sr. Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer to several mutual fund complexes owned by Fortune 500 companies. My background as an attorney and MBA made me uniquely suited for those roles, as much of my time was spent ensuring business decisions were aligned with the regulatory framework imposed upon the financial services industry. I managed a team of professionals and reported the results of our activities to the Board of the Fund Company. I did this on a quarterly basis for almost 40 years which provided me with a unique insight as to the way corporate Boards operate and function. I also served as the primary point of contact during regulatory examinations and facilitated large projects involving significant capital expenditures.

My wife and I have found our “forever home” in Oaks North. Our community offers many opportunities for all to be involved. From lawn bowling to pickleball as well as many special interest clubs and activities, there is truly something for everyone. I believe it is important for individuals to contribute to the communities in which they live, and that personal involvement is crucial in order to do so. It is my hope that the skills and acumen I gained through my previous legal and business experience will be a benefit to the Oaks North community. In doing so I pledge to be receptive to input from all members of the community and transparent in my decision making.
