I moved to Oaks North in 2017 after looking at many other areas in North County. I recognized immediately that Oaks North was the “home” for me. Right from the beginning, I wanted to be a part of our ONCC and all it had to offer. After one year, I met my husband Mohammad Ahrar on the lawn bowling green. Now, we are active lawn bowlers and appreciate all the friendships established as a result of this wonderful sport.
The work and leadership experience I bring to the board includes years spent in local public education, administration, curriculum and teacher development. Until recently, I served for 4 years as President of the Oaks North Lawn Bowling Club, and after 11 years of serving for a local nonprofit nursing facility, I retired to become President of our ONCC Board of Directors.
It is my pleasure to continue my work on the ONCC Board, and I encourage others to consider volunteering and participating in the many clubs and activities our Community Center offers. It is full of opportunities for fun and companionship!
