My husband, Steve, and I moved to Rancho Bernardo in May, 2018 to be near family. We left an active, family oriented association in Orange County where we had lived for over 30 years. I was involved in the association Women’s Club Board there and realized what a valuable resource an active community could be to the neighborhood. As soon as we toured the Oaks North Community Center, we knew we would love the opportunities provided and find friends here.
I have enjoyed the painting class, lawn Bowling, swimming, bingo, library and the special events and dances. I currently serve as vice president of the Lawn Bowling club. My husband is a pickle ball club member and lawn bowler.
The work experience I bring to the board includes education on the well-being of the individual and community, as well as common sense resource management. I am a retired Registered Nurse, serving over 20 years in case management, utilization review and on a hospital management team. My training included Six Sigma Lean Thinking & Quality Assurance Green Belt Certification.
I was asked to complete Roberta Mikles’s term as Club and Group Chair on the ONCC Board of Directors. My goal is to listen to members and collaborate with the Board to preserve and enhance the excellent lifestyle we enjoy.
