Important Upcoming Calendar Notes
We're almost ready to open! Thank you for your patience!
RESTROOMS: Electrical sensors will be installed next week and a final inspection walkthrough perfomed on Tuesday afternoon. If the inspection goes well, the restrooms will be open for use. I believe you will be very pleased with the end result. The bathrooms have high end commercial features and the floor to ceiling tile gives it an upscale appearance.
BILLIARD ROOM/LA PINATA ROOM: The Billiards Room and the La Pinata Room are accessible from the rear of the building. Beware that the door to the La Pinata room is weather damaged and hard to open and close. Our custodial staff with open and close the doors for you. A new custom fit door is on order and should be installed in 2 weeks. Access through the library will not be possible until the lighting is installed in the library.
LA VISTA ROOM: Please do not abuse web browsing on the computers, questionable web sites have been found on the computers by other users. Our computer tech has been monitoring site visits. Questionable downloads can affect the speed and integrity of Wi-fi sharing and compromise office data. All computer data is stored in the office cloud.
FITNESS CENTER: Open and ready for use! The Universal machines have been repaired and are now operational. We are still waiting for parts for the bikes, and when they arrive they will be repaired as well. They are still operational, just noisy. Please wipe down the equipment after each use. We have provided new dispensers for your convenience. The new mirrors have been installed and really open up that area! It looks like a Fitness Center!
LIBRARY: The Library is awaiting the delivery and installation of lighting. We were informed that the lighting will not arrive until next week. The process of putting books back on the shelves will begin, and when the lighting is installed, the Library can be open for use.
WOODSHOP: The Woodshop will be open on Saturday morning but it still needs some work. The long bench still needs to be attached to the wall and therefore it is not operational. There is "stuff" on the tables that probably need to be organized by the members. We will install new shelving some time next week. Greg will be back in the shop next week to finish the bookshelf. Please contact the General Manager directly if there are other issues that will need to be addressed. Please use with caution.
OPENING CELEBRATION IS SCHEDULED FOR
FRIDAY - MARCH 24th at 1:30 P.M.
COME JOIN US FOR CAKE AND REFRESHMENTS
AND TOUR THE NEW FACILITIES.
Please refrain from entering the library until the lighting has been installed.
Thank you for your continued patience!

The Center was designed and built to enhance the quality of life of Oaks North residents by actively promoting participation in all aspects of community, including social, recreational, health and educational needs with emphasis on enriching the lives of those age 55 and better. Inherent in this pursuit we provide opportunities that facilitate positive, life-changing experiences through art, athletics, personal development and community service. It is our goal to be a focal point for services, information and activities that increase inclusion in the community (e.g. Neighborhood Watch). We provide meeting rooms and activity space for organized groups and member private parties. In doing all this, we enhance the value of each property in Oaks North.
